摘要：A method of independently managing membership for a group and mobility formembers of that group in a communications system includes setting up a group nameand a membership for that group including a plurality of names, each of the names

indicative of a user within that group; and establishing, separately from the membership,contact information associated with each name. With this method, initiating a session withmembers of a group includes contacting a first registrar with a request for a session, thatregistrar including the names indicative of the members of the group and a furtherregistrar associated with each of the names; forwarding the request for a session to thefurther register that includes contact or end point info for the member; and thenforwarding the request to the contact associated with the member.
