摘要：This invention generally pertains to the field of psychiatry. In particular, thisinvention pertains to the discovery that agents which inhibit the binding of cortisol to itsreceptors can be used in methods for treating delirium. Mifepristone, a potent specificglucocorticoid receptor antagonist, can be used in these methods. The invention alsoprovides a kit for treating delirium in a human including a glucocorticoid receptorantagonist and instructional material teaching the indications, dosage and schedule ofadministration of the glucocorticoid receptor antagonist.
