Switch comprising a push button (1; 101) to be operated by hand and to beheld in the switchon position against the force of a restoring spring (7; 107), andcomprising a switch actuating member (4; 104) movable relative to the push button andadapted to be moved into the switchon position by means of the push button and againstthe force of a restoring spring (5), and also comprising a locking device having at leastone locking member (15; 115) movable relative to the switch actuating member (4; 104)and relative to the push button (1; 101) and also adapted to be controlled by means ofthe latter, the locking member (15; 115), in the switch-on position of the pushbutton (1;101) and of the switch actuating member (4; 104) assuming a position for locking only thelatter in this position and adapted to be positively moved into its release position by amovement of the push button (1; 101) towards its switch-off position, characterized inthat the locking member (15; 115) is mounted in guides (16, 17; 116) on the switchactuating member (4; 104) and switch housing (2; 102), one of which has, for holding thelocking member (15; 115) in the switch-on position, a catch (17'; 117) and in that the pushbutton (1; 101) is provided with a control cam (18; 118) for moving the locking member(15; 115) into the catch (17'; 117').
