——七年级下册

一、教学内容分析

本节课的内容是新版Go for it七年级下册第七单元Section A第一课时,中心话题是谈论天气,涉及两个主要语言功能项目:一是运用How is the weather?及描述天气情况的形容词谈论不同城市的天气状况;二是继续运用现在进行时态来描述人们的即时活动。并在此基础上,要求学生通过谈论天气和人们的即时活动去关心他人。

二、教学目标 1. 知识目标

(1)了解以下单词:Moscow, Toronto, Boston

(2)掌握以下单词:rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather, cook

(3)掌握询问天气的特殊疑问句及其回答:How’s the weather? It’s raining! It’s cloudy. 2. 能力目标

(1)能够询问天气状况并作出正确的回答,如:How’s the weather? It’s raining. (2)能够询问人们的即时活动并作出正确的回答,如:What’s he doing? He is playing football. What are they doing? They are playing basketball.

3. 情感目标

(1)通过围绕新闻谈论天气和人们的即时活动,培养学生关注新闻时事,并提高他们的学习兴趣。

(2)通过小组QQ聊天活动,培养学生的交际意识和交际能力,并培养学生关心他的意识。

三、教学重点和难点 1. 教学重点:

(1)重点词汇:rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather (2)重点句型:How’s the weather? It’s raining. 2. 教学难点:

How和What引导的特殊疑问句来描述天气和询问人们的即时活动。 四、学情分析

本节课的授课对象为借班的七年级学生,学生们已经学习并初步掌握了现在进行时态的用法,能够用What引导的特殊疑问句来询问人们的即时活动并作出相应的回答,这为本节课的新知识的学习奠定了基础。学生对围绕新闻事件展开教学和进行QQ聊天等活动比较感兴趣,他们参与课堂的积极性会较高。

六、教学过程 Step1. Warming up Enjoy a short movie.

[设计意图]由于是借班上课,学生与老师比较陌生,通过让学生欣赏《童年》的英文版歌曲,配以许多儿童的各种活动的图片,让学生能尽快地安静下来,同时边欣赏歌曲边看图片,为接下来的复习旧课知识进行预热。

Step2. Revision and Lead-in

1. Greet Ss and ask Ss some questions about the pictures. T: What’s your name? S1: My name’s XXX

T: What are we doing now? Ss: We are having an English class. T: What is/are he/she/they doing now? S5: He/She/They is/are…. 2. Ask Ss to guess the activities.

T: Now let’s play a guessing game. Can you guess what he is doing? S1: Is he …? S2: Is he …?

T: Yes, you’re so smart. Now let’s see what TV show he is watching.

[设计意图]通过一些简单的提问,让学生尽快参与到课堂中来,并通过一些猜测图片的活动,复习现在进行时态。

3. Play the video.

Let Ss watch a short movie about Boston bombing.

[设计意图]由于本课涉及的几个城市对于七年级学生来说比较陌生,上本节课时正好遇上波士顿的爆炸事件,所以通过播放这个事件的新闻视频,来引出本课的中心人物(我的学生Jim),通过他观看电视中关于波士顿爆炸的时事新闻导入新课,并把整节课的活动串联起来。

Step3. Presentation 1. Present the new language.

Show the picture of Boston and talk about it. Then ask: How is the weather in Boston? Help Ss to answer: It is sunny. Then use some pictures to teach Toronto, rain/raining/rainy, Moscow, snow/snowing/snowy, Beijing wind/windy, Shanghai cloud/cloudy. Show the signs of the weather.

[设计意图]通过一系列的图片以及与天气有关的声音教学,加深学生对词汇的印象。 2. Do activity 1a.

Ask Ss to read the words together. Match the words with the pictures. Check the answers. [设计意图]通过谈论1a中的图片,进一步熟悉描述天气情况的形容词,为接下来的听力活动扫除障碍。

Step4. Listening

1. Do activity 1b.

Let Ss listen and write the city names in the boxes of the pictures. 2. Imitate.

Ask Ss to repeat after the tape, pay attention to the pronunciation.

[设计意图]语音语调教学也是七年级英语教学的重点,所以通过学生听录音及模仿,一方面能培养学生听的习惯,二能培养学生纯正的英语语音语调,同时还对本课的新句型有一个巩固提高。

Step5. Pairwork

Do activity 1c. Ask Ss to practice the conversation in pairs. A: Hi! How is the weather in New York? B: It’s sunny.

[设计意图]通过学生谈论课外不同的城市天气,一方面拓展学生对不同城市标志性事物的了解,另一方面使学生在操练过程进一步掌握谈论天气状况的新句型。

Step6. A game

Ask Ss to choose a sign then finish the tasks.

[设计意图]通过让学生选择五个不同的天气图标中的一个,来完成图标后面的小任务,一是五个小任务能拓展学生的课外知识并对新学知识有一个运用提高的过程;二是在做小任务后还能得到一些小礼物,让学生体会不同的天气情况下,一样会有小惊喜。

Step7. Listening 1. Do activity 2a.

Tell Ss that Jim is worried about his cousin Linda in Boston. Now he is calling Linda. Ask Ss to listen to the recording and finish activity 2a. Then check the answers.

2. Do activity 2b.

Ask Ss to listen again and finish activity 2b. Then check the answers.

[设计意图]我的学生Jim对波士顿的亲戚Linda一家很是关心,所以他要打电话给他们,自然过渡到2a的听力活动,由于前面的铺垫和操练,这一部分听力活动亦较简单能完成。

Step8. Talk

Tell Ss that Lindy is really thankful. Now she is chatting with her friends Kim in Hangzhou, Joe in London and Peter in Moscow to say she is safe. Ask Ss to make a conversation in groups. Then act it out. Linda: Hi, I’m OK. Kim, how’s the weather in „? Kim: Hello, Linda. It’s „ Linda: Oh. What’s your mother doing? Kim: She is „ Linda: Hi, Joe, What’s the weather like in „? Joe: „ Linda: „

Peter: „ [设计意图]Linda很感谢朋友们的关心,通过模拟生活中的QQ聊天,让学生感受那种信息时代的便捷通信,并通过这一活动,让学生的语言能力进一步巩固,情感得到升华,“不一样的天气,一样的精彩!”

Step9. Homework

1. Level A, imitate the conversations in 1b and 2a. 2. Level B, write a short weather report of China.

[设计意图]分层作业,既有一般同学的基础听读和模仿对话作业,又有优秀学生的语言运用提升的作业,让学生有选择有提高。
