摘要：An example of an apparatus including a front-end engine to receive documentdata in a first format for printing via a network. The apparatus includes a conversionengine in communication with the front-end engine. The conversion engine is to carry out
a conversion of the document data from the first format to an uncompressed format,wherein the conversion engine generates metrics associated with the conversion. Theconversion engine parses the document data in the uncompressed format into a pluralityof separations. The apparatus includes a compression engine to process a separation ofthe plurality of separations from the uncompressed format to a second format, whereinthe second format is a predetermined format associated with a printing device. Theapparatus includes a print engine controller to transmit the separations in the secondformat to the printing device, wherein the print engine controller uses the metrics topredict a starvation condition.
