摘要：A method and assembly for electrochemically identifying target nucleotidesequences. The method includes supplying a biological sample that may contain apredetermined target nucleotide sequence; supplying activatable amplification materialscomprising free nucleotides to form replicated target nucleotide sequences; supplyingan oxido-reducible compound capable of being inserted during replication between thenucleotides forming the replicated target sequences; and activating the activatableamplification materials before applying an electric field to the sample in order to activatethe oxido-reducible compound. The replicated target sequences cause inhibition ofelectrochemical activity of the inserted oxido-reducible compound, and the presence ofthe predetermined target nucleotide sequence is determined in instances where theelectric current decreases.
