摘要：An improved dump valve assembly () is provided for use as a part of anelongated, sectionalized, tubular downhole pipe string (). The assembly () includes atubular pipe section () having endmost threading () and a rupture disc fitting (); the fitting() includes a metallic, preferably concavo-convex disc () with performed lines of weakness() on one face thereof. The section () is interconnected between a pair of lower pipesections (a, b). In operation when it is desired to elevate the string () from the well, thefluid within the string () is pressurized sufficiently to rupture the disc (), thereby allowingfluid within the string () to drain. The string () and other well components can then beremoved from the well without contamination owing to spillage from the tubular string().
