Good afternoon, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is《 PEP Primary English 》Book4 Unit4 It's warm today.B Let’s talk,
一.First, let’s talk about the content of this lesson. There are two parts of this lesson: let’s learn and let’s do. Before this class, We have learnt four words about weather: cool\\hot\\warm\\cold. This class is mainly about another five words about weather. They are: windy、sunny、cloudy、rainy、snowy. I hope we can have a good base for the coming lesson. ―Ask the weather‖ during the learning of this lesson. 二. let’s talk about Teaching aims 1. Aims on the knowledge
(1):my students can listen、speak、write and read theflowing words: rainy、windy、sunny、snowy、cloudy
(2):my students can use ―What’s the weather like‖ to ask about the weather, and they can make a brief answer. 2. Aims on the abilities
(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking. (2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.
(3) To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation. 3. Aims on the emotion develop Ss’ interest in English. 三.Key-points
4 skilled words and my students can use ―What’s the weather like‖ in real life. 四. Let’s talk about the Difficult points
According to the teaching content, I think that the difficulties are the five words:
rainy, windy, sunny, snowy, cloudy, and the cities on the world map in the text. 五. let’s talk about the teaching methods
We all know that interest is the best teacher. We still know that pupils are curious, active and easy to imitate. So in order to overcome the hard and important parts, I use the following method of teaching : Task of teaching ,Situational Approach , 六.Teaching aids:
I need some cards and a computer for multimedia 七. let’s talk about the Teaching procedures Step One, warm-up
First of all, let the students sing the song \"Thunder‖. the students can attention and improve the English study. Step Two, Presentation
Write the word ―weather‖ on the blackboard and teach it. I ask the student to read it one bye one, or group by group. then I show the sentence ―What’s the weather like?‖ And practice it in the same way. After this, I ask the students to do the chant like this: Weather, weather, what’s the weather like? It is very easy for students to ask and answer the weather.
Step Three, Teach new words with the stick pictures.
When students know the last sentence, I will draw a picture of the sun. and ask: what 's this? students can answer : It' s a sun. I repeat the word and write it on the blackboard : sun-sunny and that ―y‖ for /i/.
Then, the teacher says: Look, there are some clouds coming. Then show the cloud, and writing on the blackboard : cloud-cloudy and that ―y‖ for /i/. then point a
student to read.
After that: the teacher says: Oh, the clouds are more and more, it’s raining now. Then show the rain, and writing the word :rain—on the blackboard. Let the students to guess the word –rainy. And think: How the word changed? How to read the word ? then correct them.
Use the same way to learn the word windy and snowy.
Make students to study by themselves, then make sure the students to master the five keywords, and the students can use the sentence ―What 's the weather like‖ ask and answer skillfully . Step Four. Let’s chant.
I say :ok , boys and girls, now let’s chant, please follow me: what’s the weather like?(rising tone)what’s the weather like(falling tone)sunny, sunny, it is sunny. what’s the weather like, what’s the weather like? rainy, rainy. it is rainy…. I tell them to sing while clapping their hands. This kind of singing makes the important points easily mastered by the students. Step Five, Practice I used two ways to practice:
(1) Show the world map, Here are five capitals of different counties. What’s the weather like in different cities? I point out China and ask :This is Beijing, the capital of China. Look! What's the weather like in Beijing? Lead students to answer, After this, let the students to practice the other 4 cities in pairs. Next, let the students find a partner to ask and answer the weather conditions .
(2)The small weatherman. After quiz the weather of the cities on the map . I will say : \"who can be the weatherman? Please have a try\
the weather. It’s sunny in Beijing. It’s cloudy in Shanghai. Then let the students practice it. Step Six
Listen to the tape. Let the Ss listen and imitate. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. Step 7 Homework
