before, by
  • before, for
  • The sun will not rise before six o'clock.
  • The sun will not rise for an hour.
  • before, in front of
  • A tree stands in front of the home.
  • A tree stands before the door of the house.
  • before, till, until
  • I left before he came.
  • I left before he had come.
    before long, long before
  • before long的意思是“不久之后”,相当于soon,其中before是介词, long是名词; long before的意思是“很久以前”,相当于a long time earlier,long与before都是副词, long说明before的程度。
  • It happened before long.
  • It happened long before.
  • before, ago
  • I left school three years ago.
  • He said he had finished the job three days before.
  • I told you before.
I never saw that book ago.
I never saw that book before.
  • before, ahead, forward
  • The commander sent a group of scouts ahead.
  • The commander sent a company forward.
  • ago,before
  • before,in front of,in the front of
  • in the front of指在某地方之内的前面,即在其中的前部分。
