If I were an Olympic volunteer
Dear teachers and fellow students,
It’s my great honor to stand here giving a speech.It’s also my great honor to be a Chinese.It would be my greatest honor if I were an Olympic volunteer in 2008.I was eager to be an Olympic volunteer as soon as China bid for the 2008 Olymipics succesfully in 2001.But what a pity!I haven’t reached 18 yet,so I couldn’t be a volunteer.As a result,today my topic is ‘If I were an Olympic volunteer’.It just uses subjunctive mood. I have dream just like Dr. Martin Luther King.
If I were an Olympic volunteer,I would learn English well first.I treated English as a language rather than a subject when I just started studying English.I can get a high score in the exames,but I still have difficulty comunicating with people in English fluently.I will be in great embarassment when I can’t tell a foreigner where he wants to go.Just think about that,if a foreigner asked how to get to the Bird’s nest,and I said from right to...and finally I said sorry to him,What will he think?He must think China is a weak nation,they can’t speak English,and it’s a fault to allow China holding Olympic Games.Is that true?Aparrently not.So I must practice my speaking-English frequently.Then I’m sure to have the caplebility to show the way to foreigners.
Secondly,if I were a volunteer of Olympic Games.I must be a peace lover.Belives are of great significance.As far as I’m concerned,justice will never be defeated by evil and no revolt can interrupt Beijing Olympic Games.As a volunteer and as a Chinese,I insist Tibet should be a part of China,no matter yesterday,today,or tomorrow.I’m also confident in holding a unique and marvellous Olympics in China.If I were a volunteer,I would spread the spirit to the whole world,through the Internet,newspaper even using my mouth.In the face of the challenges to our National dignity,what we should do is not just biting our nails for days and hours like a helpless child,we should protest.A sentence really shocked me,it says ‘The products in Carrefour are cheap,but our dignity is expensive.’So I signed on the banner and shouted ‘Come on China!’with some college student during the Labor Day.Our purpose is to stimulate Chinese people’s awareness of National dignity and remind people of that we can hold the Olympics successfully.As a volunteer,I’ll try my best to ensure the Olympic Games will be held without disarrangement.Let those stupid people know that to mess up Beijing Olympics equals to ask for the moon.
Thirdly,if I were an Olympic volunteer,I would try to weite some positive stories about Chinese Olympic atheletes.In fact,I like writing tragedies in which all people finally die.But as a volunteer,I shouldn’t immerse myself in sorrow words,maybe I should write some stories to support Beijing Olympics.For instance,I could write a story about how a Chinese athlete make efforts to achieve their best performance.But all must be based on truths.I don’t want to resemble CNN.I want to show that China is a powerful and struggling nation.They can find a Chinese athlete matched with my story.
If I were an Olympic volunteer,I would take more exercise.I don’t oftern take exercise.I hate doing exercise actually.Do you know the emblem of the Beijing Olympics.Yeah,the ‘dancing Peking’.It’s full of passion.To be a volunteer,I should have a strong construction,in order to tell foreigners that we volunteers are so powerful,let alone our athletes.I don’t want to figure out why other countries stop us holding Olympic Games,all I want to do is make myself stronger to prove our ability and to show China have taken off the gloves.Otherwise,when I take exercise,I also improve my own health,just like our school tell us‘If you take two hour's exercise everyday,you'll work 50 years happily and live happily for a lifetime.’
It’s really a pity that I can’t be a volunteer.But have ever heard the song ‘Everyone is NO.1’.we can change it into ‘Everyone is a volunteer’if everyone made a little contribution to Olympic Games.We just carry out our hearts to welcom 2008 Beijing Olympics.Even a smile can show our friendly and confidence.I’ll involve myself in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in my own way.Finally,I believe we will hear cheers,joy and laghter everywhere in Beijing in August.
