摘要：This exchange comprises a switching network arrangement (11) for switchingconnections between several subscriber stations (16) and between these and a
broadband communication network, the broadband signals being converted into a typeof representation suitable for the respective subscriber station (16) and conversely. Theconversion is carried out with the aid of signal conversion units (SU1, SU2, SU3) betweenthe respective broadband communication network access (15, 17, 18) and the switchingnetwork arrangement (11). This limits the number of required signal conversion units(SU1, SU2, SU3), independently of the number of subscriber stations (16).
