例1: Tell me about yourself?
To be brief,Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated with thingsmechanical and this fascination revealed a talent for mechanical engineering.I am fascinated with computers.
I have the talent for acquiring foreign languages.
Yes, I have been heavily involved in the software business for the last 5years.
例2: Would you please say something about yourself?或者:What can you tell me about yourself?
A:Do you want me to talk about my personal life or to saysomething about the job?
3: Can you sell yourself in two minutes? Go for it.
A: With my qualifications and experience, I feel I am hardworking, responsible and diligent in any project I undertake. Your organization couldbenefit from my analytical and interpersonal skills.
4: Give me a summary of your current job description.
A:I have been working as a computer programmer for five years. Tobe specific,I do system analysis, trouble shooting and provide softwaresupport.
例5: What do you consider your major strength or weakness?May also be: What are you best at?
A. self-motivated (具有\"自我激励\"的品质会不断使你在工作中取得进步)
B. hard working and honest
C. look for better ways of doing the work
D. good interpersonal relationships
\"I do believe I possess lots of strengths. First, I have formed a habit ofworking under great pressure, I am a hard working man; Second, I amindependent, and always try to use my own methods to solve problems;Third, I am honest.\"
I can see what needs to be done and do it.I work well with others.
I can organize my time efficiently.
例6: Why do you want to leave your present job / previous job?Why did you leave your last job?
There is no room for my career growth and promotion I want in myprevious job. So I'm looking for a company which recognizes and rewardshard workers.
My reason for leaving my present employer is that I am desirous ofgetting broader experience in trading.
Well, I am hoping to get an offer of a better position. If opportunityknocks, I will take it.
I feel there is no opportunity for advancement in my current job.
例7: What is it about this job that interests you? / Why do you wantto join our company?
Your company enjoys a good reputation in this field. I've heard you takecare of your employees and offer good salaries and benefits.
Your company is well respected in this field. I have heard nothing but goodthings about your company.
例6:What salary do you expect?或者How much money are you lookingfor?
I don't mind if I start with a low salary because it is my first time to hunt for ajob and I lack experience. I'll leave it to you, because I'm not in the positionto ask for a certain salary at present.
I think we can reach an agreement on the salary if I can be sure that there is agood chance to advance in this company.
I believe you must have a standard starting salary which should besatisfactory.
I am making RMB2000 a month at my present work. I should expect notlower than RMB3000 a month.
One good qualified man is better than a score of men. I can handle this workquite easily by myself and you will end up saving money if you pay meRMB4000 a month.
例8: How would your friends or colleagues describe you?

Adaptability and sense of humor.Cheerfulness and friendliness.
例10: What type of people do you prefer working with?I like working with people who work well under pressure. Are there any types you don't like working with?I don't like lazy people or people who gossip. How do you get along with your co-workers?
I generally get along very well with co-workers. Occasionally I might runinto a conflict with someone. When this happens, I usually focus on what theconflict is about rather than on personalities. I find that approach helps me tomaintain a successful relationship with anyone and often leads to resolutionand strengthened relationships.
You have a deadline and no time and one of your teammate needs some
help, what will you do?
If the solution is an easy one and not time consuming I will help myteammate. Otherwise I will tell him to wait till I finish my project and then Iwill help him.
例11: What personality traits do you admire?I admire a person who is honest, flexible and easy-going.
1:Why should I hire you?
A:With my strong academic background,I am capable and competent.(凭借我良好的学术背景,我可以胜任自己的工作,而且我认为自己很有竞争力。)
例2:Why do you want to work for us?(你为什么想为我们工作?)
A:One reason that I would like to be employed with your firm is that youare dealing with important export trade.
3:What goal you set and how did you meet them?
A:I now wish to enter an office where the work requires greater individualresponsibility and judgment than here, and where there is more opportunityfor advancement.
1:What provide you with a sense of accomplishment.
A:Doing my best job for your company.
Challenge, the feeling of accomplishment, and knowing that you have made acontribution.
例2:How do you handle your failure?
A:None of us was born \"perfect\". I am sure I will be given a second chanceto correct my mistake.
例3:How do you normally handle criticism?
A:Silence is golden. Just do not say anything; Otherwise the situationcould become worse. I do,however, accept constructive criticism.
例4:What is the most important in your life right now?(眼下你生活中最重要的是什么?)
A:To get a job in my field is most important to me. To secure employmenthopefully with your company . I hope to demonstrate my ability and talentsin my field adequately.
5: How long would you like to stay with this company?
A:I will stay as long as I can continue to learn and to grow in my field.
例6:What range of pay-scale are you interested in?(你喜欢那一种薪水层次标准?)
A:Money is important, but the responsibility that goes along with this jobis what interests me the most.(薪水固然重要,但这工作伴随而来的责任更吸引我。)
例7:Do you know what is involved in a position like this?(你知道我们这个职位是要付出很大的努力的吗?)
A:Yes. I know exactly what is involved. I am a hard worker and willperform to the best of my ability.
面试时,着重考察应聘者“怎样表现自己(How it is performed)”。
(Professional Skill)
1:What make you think you would be a success in this position?
A:I graduated from Beijing University in 2003,and hold a Bachelor ofScience degree in Computer Science. Therefore,I have a firm knowledgebackground in this field. My graduate school training combined with myinternship should qualify me for this particular job. I am sure I will besuccessful.
2:How do you rate yourself as a professional?(你如何评估自己是位专业人员呢?)
A:With my strong academic background,I am capable and competent. Ithink you need a man like me.
3: Why do you think you are qualified for this position?
A:I have finished three new projects, and I am sure I can apply myexperience to this position.
4:Do you think you are the right person for the job?
A:Yes. Because I do believe that my qualifications and experience perfectly
match what you are looking for. I have the experience you are looking for,and think I will be one of the best in this field.
5:Why do you think you are qualified for this position?(你为何觉得你有资格做这个职位?)
A:I have spent the last 3 years working specially in this field. I think I canbring a lot of experience and knowledge with me. With my qualificationsand experience,I feel I am hardworking, responsible and diligent in anyproject I undertake. Your organization could benefit from my analytical andinterpersonal skills.
自我介绍时应该记住“3P原则”:Positive(自信),Personal(个性),Pertinent(中肯)。
I would like to hear youropinion.
So far as that is concerned, you must have understood my determination.(谈到这里,你一定已经明白我的决心。)
1.Body Language(肢体语言)
Most interviewers greet the applicant with a handshake. Make sure that yourclasp is firm. Being jittery about the interview can result in cold, clammyhands, which create a negative impression. Therefore, make sure yourhands are warm and dry. Before leaving, try to find out exactly what actionwill follow the interview and when it will happen. Shake hands as you saygood-bye and thank the interviewer for spending time with you.
Don’t shake hand with the interviewer until he/she extends his/herhand.(人家伸手时才握手。)Don’t sit down until invited to do so by theinterviewer.(人家未请,先别坐下。)2.Eye Contact(眼神的交流)
Always maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Make eye-contact with theinterviewer during the interview. Show that you are confident by lookingstraight at the person.
Fails to look interviewer in the eye不敢正视。3.Active Listener(做一个积极的聆听者)
I am grateful for your concern about the job at our company.
Thank you for your concern about our recruitment,We shall inform you assoon as we have made our decision.
We have known something about you. You know,we have to interviewseveral applicants we make our final decision.
(Announcements)
Is there anything specific you would like me to elaborate on?
1. So, tell me a little about yourself.
You don’t need to explain everything from birth to present day. Relevantfacts about education, your career and your current life situation are fine.4. Why do you want to work at X Company?
This should be directly related to the last question. Any research you’ve doneon the company should have led you to the conclusion that you’d want towork there. After all, you’re at the interview, right? Put some thought intothis answer before you have your interview, mention your career goals andhighlight forward-thinking goals and career plans.5. What relevant experience do you have?
Hopefully if you’re applying for this position you have bags of relatedexperience, and if that’s the case you should mention it all. But if you’reswitching careers or trying something a little different, your experience mayinitially not look like it’s matching up. That’s when you need a little honestcreativity to match the experiences required with the ones you have. Peopleskills are people skills after all, you just need to show how customer serviceskills can apply to internal management positions, and so on.
6. If your previous co-workers were here, what would they say about you?Ok, this is not the time for full disclosure. If some people from your past aregoing to say you’re a boring A-hole, you don’t need to bring that up. Staypositive, always, and maybe have a few specific quotes in mind. “They’d sayI was a hard worker” or even better “John Doe has always said I was the mostreliable, creative problem-solver he’d ever met.”7. Have you done anything to further your experience?
This could include anything from night classes to hobbies and sports. If it’srelated, it’s worth mentioning. Obviously anything to do with furthereducation is great, but maybe you’re spending time on a home improvementproject to work on skills such as self-sufficiency, time management andmotivation.
10. What motivates you to do a good job?
The answer to this one is not money, even if it is. You should be motivatedby life’s noble pursuits. You want recognition for a job well done. You wantto become better at your job. You want to help others or be a leader in your
field.
11. What’s your greatest strength?
This is your chance to shine. You’re being asked to explain why you are agreat employee, so don’t hold back and stay do stay positive. You could besomeone who thrives under pressure, a great motivator, an amazing problemsolver or someone with extraordinary attention to detail. The interviewer islooking for work-related strengths.14. Are you good at working in a team?
Unless you have the I.Q. of a houseplant, you’ll always answer YES to thisone. It’s the only answer. How can anyone function inside an organization ifthey are a loner? You may want to mention what part you like to play in ateam though; it’s a great chance to explain that you’re a natural leader.17. Is there anyone you just could not work with?
No. Well, unless you’re talking about murderers, racists, rapists, thieves orother dastardly characters, you can work with anyone. Otherwise you couldbe flagged as someone who’s picky and difficult if you say, “I can’t workwith anyone who’s a Bronco’s fan. Sorry.”
18. Tell me about any issues you’ve had with a previous.
If you fall for this one you shouldn’t be hired anyway. The interviewer istesting you to see if you’ll speak badly about your previous supervisor.Simply answer this question with, diplomacy and if necessary, a big fat lossof memory. In short, you’ve never had any issues.
The answer to 18 is completely wrong. I am a director at a major mediacompany’s interactive division. Our company is expanding and I am almostin a constant state of hiring. I ask a variation of this question in every singleinterview and if a candidate has never had one issue or disagreement withanyone, (I stated a variation: I ask if it has happened with anyone in theworkplace) I peg them as a liar and reject them immediately.
I went well with my previous. If there is an conflict, I will be open mind andtalk about facts. Once decision is made, I execute it well.19. Would you rather work for money or job satisfaction?
It’s not a very fair question is it? We’d all love to get paid a Trump-likesalary doing a job we love but that’s rare indeed. It’s fine to say money isimportant, but remember that NOTHING is more important to you than the
job. Otherwise, you’re just someone looking for a bigger paycheck.20. Would you rather be liked or feared?
I have been asked this a lot, in various incarnations. The first time I just drewa blank and said, “I don’t know.” That went over badly, but it was right at thestart of my career when I had little to no experience. Since then I’ve realizedthat my genuine answer is “Neither, I’d rather be respected.” You don’t wantto be feared because fear is no way to motivate a team. You may got the jobdone but at what cost? Similarly, if you’re everyone’***est friend you’ll findit difficult to make tough decisions or hit deadlines. But when you’rerespected, you don’t have to be a complete bastard or a lame duck to get thejob done.
22. So, explain why I should hire you.
As I’m sure you know, “because I’m great” or “I really need a job” are notgood answers here. This is a time to give the employer a laundry list of yourgreatest talents that just so happen to match the job description. It’s also goodto avoid taking potshots at other potential candidates here. Focus on yourselfand your talents, not other people’s flaws.24. Where do you want to be in 5 to years?
They do not want to hear in the same job you are interviewing for.Ultimately, the HR people are searching for someone who can handle the jobnow, and has the potential to grow into a high level management job in thefuture. Do you have those goals too?
24. Would you rather work for a big company or a small one?
Favorite answer: I’d treat any company like it was my own regardless. Totalownership of the situation can get you a long way.
General, the worst answer was “I don’t know.” I’ve since learned that “itdepends,” with a couple of examples, is perfectly appropriate
Demonstrated ability to grasp technical mattersSuccessfully managed staff and resources within budgetHighly experienced programming C++ and Java
Computer platform experience includes micro, mini and mainframe
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelSolid working knowledge of UNIX and Windows NT
Its reputation, the opportunities it offers, and the working conditionsI hope to demonstrate my ability and talents in my field adequately.Perhaps, an opportunity at a management position would be exciting.
