摘要：The invention comprises compounds of the Formula I wherein X represents acyano group or a group of the formula -C(:NH)OR1.Y, -C(:NH)OR1 or -COOR2 where R1represents a C1- 4 alkyl radical, R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1- 4 alkyl radicaland Y represents an acid salt-forming moiety. Compounds of the Formula I wherein Xrepresents a cyano group are prepared by reacting 2-methyl-1,3-cyclopentanedion withacrylonitrile, and the resulting nitrile are converted into compounds of the Formula Iwherein X represents a carboxyl or alkoxycarbonyl group by hydrolysis in an acid mediumfollowed, if desired, by esterification. The said esters may also be prepared via theformation of an imino chloride and imino ether of the Formula I by reacting the cyanocompound with hydrogen chloride in an alkanol followed by hydrolysis. The d -azasteroidof the Formula II may be prepared by reacting 2-methyl-2-(b -carboxyethyl)-1, 3-cyclopentanedione with m-methoxy phenylethylamine and cyclizing the resulting ketoneof the Formula III with phosphorus oxychloride.
