There is a humorous saying, ‘Quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I have done it hundreds of times.’ What does it mean? As far as I am concerned, it is because the speaker has never achieved success in quitting smoking. Nothing succeeds without a strong will, and this is also true of giving up smoking.
Taking a look around us, we can find numerous examples to list. As is known to all, Tomas Edison invented the bulb. If he had not had a strong will, he would probably have given up after failed many times. Another telling example is Wang Xizhi, who is considered as a pioneer of the Chinese calligraphy. It was his persistence that made him eventually succeed.
From the examples above, we can draw a conclusion that it is obvious that strong will is essential to achieving success. Consequently, we should make up our mind and stick to it. Despite the long journey, we will succeed with perseverance and persistence.
