Step 1:Warmer and preparation
1.Sing and mime the song “1,2,3,4,5„”.
2.Listen and order:

3.Show the word card “bird” ,then try to say the other animal words. Step 2.Presentation
1.Turn to Page 24.Look at the pictures.What animals can you find out?Guide out:cat and dog.Teach and practise them.
2.Ask another questions:Just now we find out the animals.Now let’s found out the animals.Now let’s try to find out the charactors:Ms Smart , Amy and Tom.What are they doing?They found a lovely cat.But the cat is afraid of people,so it climbs up the tree.Now another questions:Which is near?Which is far?So the near one ,we can say:This is a cat.Pay more attention to the word:this.It means “这个”.The far one,we can say:That is a cat.Pay more attention to “that”,it means “那个”.Then the same way,teach:That is a dog.This is a dog. Step 3.Practice
1.Play the tape two times.Try to follow the tape and mime the intonation.
2.Finish Part 2.Understand the difference between “This is „” and “That is„”.
3.Use “This is „” and “That is„”to describe the classroom things and their classmates.
Step 4.Listen and say ,then chant.
First look at the pictures,guide out:cap and hat.Teach and practise them.Pay more attention to the difference. Then play the tape,pause it after each utterence,listen and follow it enough times,then try to say and mime it.Make a competition between boys and girls Step 5.Homework
